2011 Viognier Russian River Valley Caties Corner
Vineyard Notes: Sustainably farmed, cool climate site, river cobbles and Goldridge loam soils. 2011 vintage here yielded less than a ton per acre. We harvested the grapes September 16th.

Winemaker’s Tasting Notes: Barrel fermented in neutral French oak. Golden straw in color. Floral wallop of apricot, honeysuckle, spicy orange liqueur, lemon meringue, and paper whites. Background notes of gardenia and candied Creamsicle. Big mouthful of apricot, spicy citrus, key lime pie, and pear with a long, lingering finish. 162 cases made Alc. 15.5%

2011 Chardonnay Carneros El Pajaro
Vineyard Notes:  Sustainably farmed, cool climate vineyard sites. A low-yielding, long and very cool vintage. We harvested the fruit on October 4th and 8th.

Winemaker’s Tasting Notes:  Barrel fermented in 35% new French oak. Golden straw in color. Ripe, floral nose of peach, pear, Meyer lemon, with hints of licorice, mint, orange zest, and toasty banana. Medium-bodied flavors of bright pear, citrus, quince, and ripe Meyer lemon. Finishes long with notes of cut herbs, basil, and key lime. 121 cases made, 14.6 Alc.

2010 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley Pleasant Hill Vineyard

2010 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley Pleasant Hill Vineyard
Vineyard Notes: Sustainably farmed, cool climate site, Goldridge soils, Dijon clonal selections 115 and 667. 2010 vintage here yielded small clusters with concentrated fruit and 1.4 tons per acre. We harvested the grapes September 12th.
Winemaker’s Tasting Notes: Bottled unfined, unfiltered with 35% new French oak. Ruby/garnet in color. Huge nose of ripe Bing cherry cola, Alpine strawberry, Sassafras tea, and sweet floral roses. Background aromas of blueberry with hints of bergamot and sweet mint.  Silky mouthful of ripe cherry pie, blueberries, and orange wedge soft candies give way to a long finish of baker’s chocolate and red fruits. 14.3% alc, 200 cases made, $50 per bottle.
