2011 Chardonnay Carneros El Pajaro
Vineyard Notes: Sustainably farmed, cool climate vineyard sites. A low-yielding, long and very cool vintage. We harvested the fruit on October 4th and 8th.
Winemaker’s Tasting Notes: Barrel fermented in 35% new French oak. Golden straw in color. Ripe, floral nose of peach, pear, Meyer lemon, with hints of licorice, mint, orange zest, and toasty banana. Medium-bodied flavors of bright pear, citrus, quince, and ripe Meyer lemon. Finishes long with notes of cut herbs, basil, and key lime. 121 cases made, 14.6 Alc.
