2013 Pinot Noir, 'Pleasant Hill', Russian River
Vineyard Notes: Sustainably farmed, cool climate vineyard site. Another classic vintage with plenty of foggy mornings, warm, sunshiny days, and cool Russian River nights.
Winemaker’s Tasting Notes: Aged in 40% new French oak barrels, sur lees. Bing cherry in color. Floral, ripe nose of sassafras tea, raspberry, rhubarb pie, soy, and alpine strawberry. Secondary notes of forest floor, mint, and pencil shavings. Silky, bright flavors of Bing cherry, cranberry, blueberry sweet tart, and orange pekoe tea. Finishes long and lean with hints of tea and plum.
