2014 Pinot Noir, 'Pleasant Hill', Russian River
Vineyard Notes: Sustainably farmed, cool climate vineyard site. Another solid vintage from start to finish. We added another block of 115 which now comprises roughly 2/3s of the wine. Harvested on September 4th.
Winemaker’s Tasting Notes: Aged 16 months in 35% new French oak barrels, sur lees. Cherry red in color. High toned floral notes of citrus tea, rose petal, cola and Bing cherry. Secondary notes of vanilla, sassafras tea, and mint. Silky, rich flavors of Bing cherry pie, tea, soy and baker’s chocolate. Finishes long and velvety with fine tannins and hints of tea and spice.
