2011 'Phoenix Ranch' Syrah: Dark ruby in color with a big, spicy nose full of white pepper, strawberry Fig Newton, cassis, red meats, and fennel followed by a velvety mouthful of ripe plum. Chalky ripe tannins give way to a very long finish of spicy raspberry and mulberry, with hints of dark chocolate and tobacco. 

2014 'Taylor's Folly' Pinot Noir: Darker shades of ruby in color. Complex nose of strawberry jam and cassis, with hints of Asian 5 spice, pumpkin pie, cumin and white pepper. Big mouthful of cassis, red licorice, and tobacco with long lingering finish.
